The jukebox musical 'Rock of Ages' is one of the cheesiest and most-fun Broadway shows around -- they sell 16 oz. cans of Coors Light, for crying out loud! -- so if fans had concerns about the big-screen, big-budget adaptation of the little-musical-that-could, they were probably warranted. Of course, they were also likely blown completely away after watching the first trailer for Adam Shankman's 'Rock of Ages.' Goodness! They built this city on rock and roll, Journey covers and what might be Tom Cruise's most-fun performance since 'Magnolia.'
